(Indonesian pilgrims no need to visit Saudi Arabian Embassies to use the bio via application for Hajj and Umrah program)
Jakarta, TVRI World - At a meeting between team of the directorate general of hajj and umrah program of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Saudi Arabian delegation of the Saudi Arabian Embassy, both parties agreed to use bio visa application for all Indonesian pilgrims this year.
The application is used in the visa issuance process via registration of facial biometric feature, fingerprint, as well as a photocopy of passport.
In a written statement on Thursday (09/03), Director General of Hajj and Umrah Program of the Ministry of Religious Affairs - Hilman Latief said, in the use of "Saudi Visa Bio" application, pilgrims can register independently, without the need to visit Saudi Arabian Embassy and consulate or visa issuance center in Indonesia. The application is also available on the playstore and app store.
Coordination meeting of the two countries also discussed implementation of mecca route or fast track. This year, fast track will again be held at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, for pilgrims from Jakarta, Banten, Lampung , and parts of West Java.
