
(The National Search and Rescue Team continues searching for missing victims)
Riau Island, TVRI World - The search and rescue team comprises of hundreds of personnel from the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), Military Soldiers, and National Police Officers (Polri).
Meanwhile, the National Search and Rescue Team continues searching for missing victims, at the village affected by a landslide, in Natuna regency of Riau Islands Province recently. As of March 10th, there are still 32 reportedly missing in the affected molon village, Serasan island of Natuna, while 33 were found dead. Meanwhile, more than 1,200 survivors evacuated.
The Search and Rescue team faces challenges, such as weather that always fluctuates in a day and wet soil mixed with muds, which makes evacuation difficult.
National police Public Information Head, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, says search and rescue team has to use an excavator, aside from manually digging the soil, to find the victims.
